Butterflies are a favorite....I guess very few people would say they don't like them.....so beautiful and so many pretty varieties. The Just Imagine Crafts DT is sharing projects created with their pretty butterfly die this month! I've got a pretty shaker card to share with you:
This die is the PERFECT size for shaker cards. Course there are so many other uses. You can see more inspiration on the Just Imagine Crafts blog HERE.
Just a few simple card layers....I used the new BoBunny Faith collection papers (behind the butterfly, the green layer behind, and the blessing sentiment).
To make the soft watercolor looking front panel piece, I used punch #901 and the Kreaxions star template to make a doily. Then I used it as a stencil on white cardstock with Twisted Citron and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink. A few water drips and a little more ink applied added a softness to the background.
Then I die cut the butterfly out of the front panel, and to create the shaker, I used a piece of plastic from sticker packaging I was discarding (up-cycle bonus!), gluing it over the die cut butterfly. I added foam tape all around the back of this piece and used a slightly larger piece of paper to cover it:
Course, don't forget to put in some Pretty Pink Posh sequins and Queen & Co toppings--believe it or not, I HAVE forgotten before....haha!
And so with a little ribbon, bling and bows, you have this pretty spring card.
And don't forget to save that die cut butterfly....he might just show up in a few weeks.....keep an eye out! Make sure to check out the Just Imagine Crafts store to find the butterfly die, the Kreaxions butterfly border punch (#901) and so many more goodies!
Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy your day!

Blooming in Color
One of the beautiful things about a background stamp, is you can create your own background paper in any color you choose. I've used soft purple colors to create this sympathy card:
The background is a new JustRite release for June called Blooming Vines Background. I stamped it in Black Tuxedo Memento Ink, then colored it in with Copic Markers. I stamp again and cut out some of the flowers to add around the sentiment. I brushed the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink, brushed them with some Rock Candy Distress Stickles, and after they were dry, added a center of beads from Queen & Co.
The fancy oval and sentiment were stamped and embossed, and foam taped in layers on top of the pretty die cut....another new June release, the Damask Flourish One....this one is so versatile and has instantly become one of my favorite things!! The bow and pearl are finishing touches.
Thanks for stoppin' by today! If you'd like to see more inspiration with these awesome stamps and dies, make sure to stop by the JustRite blog HERE.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: CL-05089 Blooming Vines Background, CR-05055 Large Oval Sympathy
Dies: DIE-05069 Damask Flourish One, DIE-05047 A2 Card Front Basics
Paper: AC white, black, purple cardstock
Ink: Versamark, Memento Black Tuxedo, Copic Markers
Other: Embossing powder--Ranger Fine Detail/Black, Organza ribbon, Trendy Twine, Tim Holtz-pearl drop, Queen & Co yellow Bitty Beads

Wrap It Up Challenge
Hello everyone! Ready to start some holiday scrapping? How about holiday decorating? Or maybe creative ways to gift wrap? Over at Scrap It Girl....we have a perfect challenge for the month of December--it's our Wrap It Up challenge....it's all about gift wrapping.....whether it's a present on a LO or home decor/altered project, or homemade gift wrap or bags, it's time to wrap up those holiday crafts, and link them up on the Scrap It Girl site HERE.
To get you started with a little inspiration, here is a gift bag/tag set I've created using the Doodlebug Frosty Friends collection:
This is something I love to do....take an inexpensive dollar store plain white bag, and use those extra scraps and embellishments from a scrapbook page to create a one of a kind gift bag that is a gift itself! It's a great way to use up those odds and ends from different projects......six different manufacturers on this one!!
Here's a closer look at the gift tag:
I used a Tim Holtz stencil pounced on white cardstock using Salty Ocean Distress Ink and a Distress Ink sponge. Silver American Crafts glitter paper give it some sparkle, and a Doodlebug mini clothes pin, twine, and Sprinkles add a sweet touch.
For the sentiment, I used a Prima stamp:
The snowflakes are punched out of the glitter paper, and Queen & Co bling adds some pizazz. The feather is a wispy winter touch....from Bella Blvd.
And did I mention a prize? Yes there is a prize over on the Scrap It Girl blog....you have a chance to win if you link up!! Check out all the rules and links on THIS POST.
Thanks for stoppin' by today and join in on the challenge! Instead of a plain (or expensive!) gift bag....make your own with your scraps and a few extra embellishments!

Red, White, and Blue All Over!
With Memorial Day and the 4th of July right around the corner, I thought I'd dive into the new Doodlebug Patriotic Parade collection, and my new WRMK Flower Punch Board and make something festive:
This Doodlebug collection is adorable....I also used the sticker sheet in addition to Doodlebug buttons.
The jar is painted with American Crafts chalkboard paint, and decorated with washi tape from Queen & Co, twine, buttons and bling:
This close up shows the WRMK flowers, and the straws I filled with tufts of tissue and placed firecracker stickers on them....they look ready to pop like real firecrackers!
Lovin' this bright, festive collection! Thanks for stoppin' by today....enjoy the holiday weekend....and thank you to all who have fought for our freedom!!

Favorite Things Friday....Wonderful World of Washi!
It's that time again.....Favorite Things Friday....and you can link up for fun over at Scrap It Girl! So what is your favorite washi? I'm a huge fan of washi, and some of my faves come from Queen & Co:
And just for fun....thought I'd share a LO I did for the Queen & Co NSD challenges that I hadn't shared yet. This one uses one of the washi tapes in my "fave" stack:
Fun scrappin' the stash using my Queen & Co goodies and Echo Park paper. Lots of brads, bling and flowers to add some "splash"!
ETA: Entering this NSD LO over at Moxie Fab World in their Scrapbooking Rocks Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. Thanks to Moxie Fab World for letting us still play along....even those of us that had to *sniff sniff* actually work on NSD!
Thanks for stoppin' by.....enjoy your weekend and remember to visit Scrap It Girl and link up your favorite washi HERE!

NSD "Hangover"......
I must admit....I was giddy with excitement for National Scrapbook Day.....until I realized I had to WORK that day!.....lol. At least I work at a LSS and got the chance to hang with some fun ladies at a crop! But I really missed out on creating. So Queen and Co was lovely enough to have a wonderful set of contests/challenges, and I came home and got creating. Had an absolutely blast....and here are the
results of my crafting frenzy:
I started off with these cards:
I used DIY paper from Simple Stories, and wonderful Q&Co washi, twine, bling, and felt flower.
This one was bringing on the bling.....and oh did I say how much I love this DIY paper from Simple Stories....yep....gotta say it again!
And the Q&Co bling and felt flowers make for easy embellishment!
And tomorrow.....will share the LO's I made.....thanks to Queen and Co for these challenges, and thanks to Simple Stories for just having such fun paper designs to work with!

Linnie Blooms Guest Designer: Bootiful Fall Decor
It's time for crisp air, falling leaves, and pumpkins galore! Ahhhh Fall!
I've created this Halloween banner decoration for my Guest Designer
spot over at Linnie Blooms today....my mom has already claimed it
her collection of holiday decorations.....lol:
You can find my post up at Linnie Blooms HERE.....and you can also find these
awesome canvas blanks over there in their shop! They are not just canvas squares...
they have layers inside to make them more durable, and able to be die cut too! Then
they are sewn together.....absolutely LOVE these!
The "BOO" sentiment is chipboard letters that I covered with The Rubber Cafe' (TRC)
Scrap Happy Glue, and then used TRC Black Licorice You're So Fine Glitter. The
canvas blanks were dyed using Dylusions spray ink, then while they were wet, I crumpled
them to give them a more distressed look like you see here:
Then I frayed the edges and brushed them with Adirondack Black Soot Paint Dauber.
I stamped each blank with Black Tuxedo Memento Ink using the Script Stamp from TRC.
Using my WRMK Crop-A-Dile, I set eyelets, then tied the banner together using
Trendy Twine in the Orange Licorice. Queen & Co goosebumps finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by for some spooktacular crafting today....are you making any fun
holiday items right now? Let me know.....I might send some goodies your way to help
you out!
