Roses and Thanks

If there is one thing I love....it's layers and dies to use to create them!  I've got lots of both used to create this Thank You card:

This card starts with a standard black cardstock A2 base (5&1/2" by 4&1/4") and the next layer is 5&1/4" by 4" piece of black swirl print paper (Photo Play Belle Vie).

To create the copper lattice:  Cut the JustRite A2 Butterfly Card Front die out of white cardstock, coat in embossing ink of choice (I used Ranger Embossing Dauber) and emboss using copper powder (I used Ranger).  Next step to give it a unique texture, I dabbed randomly (and lightly) over the copper embossing powder, and then used Ranger Black Soot Distress embossing powder.  This piece was glued directly to a soft script piece of patterned paper, then foam taped to card front.

Next layer of a piece of floral patterned paper cut into a large banner and mat on black cardstock.  Glue to center of card front.

For the center sentiment:
Layer 1--Vintage Labels Die (largest) from black cardstock
Layer 2 &3--Hello Decorative Oval Frame Die (plain oval from pink patterned paper and then scalloped oval from black stripe patterned paper--this layer is foam taped)
Layer 4--Vintage Labels Die (next to smallest) cut from white cardstock and brushed with Scattered Straw Distress Ink--this is stamped with border and sentiment from Small Oval Wishes stamp set.

The roses are from the Small Oval Wishes stamp set....stamped in Black Tuxedo Memento ink, colored with Copic Markers, and fussy cut out.

Add rhinestones and a bow to finish.  (PS there is a little sneak peek of a June release die....the gorgeous damask details peeking out from each edge of the sentiment oval!).

Thanks for stoppin' by today....stop back soon!  Sharing some exciting news soon!

Clean and Simple Style

I'm a fan of a stamp set that can give me a lot of options.  One of my favorite things to do is try to think of other ways to use stamps.  This card was created using the JustRite Planner Hex Page stamp set....yep, planner stamps to make a birthday card!

Here is the stamp set I used:

That little row of water drops in the bottom right corner ^^^^^^^

I used an ombre ink technique to stamp these together to create the geometric designs in the corners.
Then the JustRite Happy Birthday Sentiment Die finishes it off to make this a super quick and easy card.

Thanks for stoppin' by today!

Graduation Shaker Card

Still need a graduation card or two?  JustRite has you covered......I absolutely love their sentiment sets....you get so much bang for your buck!!

Sharing this shaker card with you today:

Card Base:  A2 black cardstock base (4&1/4" by 5&1/2")

To create the shaker window, start with a 4" by 5&1/4" piece of white cardstock....save this for later.  Cut patterned paper of choice 4" by 5&1/4" then use the JustRite Four in a Square die to cut window in this piece:

Here is the complete die set....this one is so versatile, love it:

Next, die cut the window out of black cardstock, glue to front of patterned paper piece (line up the window).  Stamp corner stamps from the JustRite Congrats Card Basics set--I used Versamark, embossed them in black, then fussy cut.   Glue corners to top window corners.

Add foam tape to the back of this entire piece....add a layer around the windows (I did each side, and then one strip across the middle....sorry forgot to grab a pic....but pretty self explanatory).  Add sequins or any doo-dads you'd like, then remember the 4" by 5&1/4" piece of white cardstock from the beginning?  You will remove the backing from the foam tape, and then line that piece of white cardstock to cover the back of your shaker.  If you are a little off....you can trim the white piece.

Add ribbon bow to the bottom edge of this piece, then glue entire front to the black cardstock base.

Stamp and emboss Way to Go sentiment from the Congrats Card Basics set, and cut it out using the small banner die from the A2Card Front Basics die set.  Trim it down and add to bow using twine.

Stamp oval scroll and Happy Graduation sentiments from the Congrats Card Basics set using  Versamark ink, emboss with black embossing powder.  Stamp one of the sentiment boxes from this set using Antique Linen Distress ink (I used the one with the swirled edges, similar to the oval I used) and trim close around this box.

Using the A2 Card Front Basics die set to cut out oval, and cut out sentiment (using the small banner die).  These coordinate with this stamp set....makes it easy peasy to create!

Layer up the oval, then the sentiment rectangle box in the middle of the oval with foam tape, then a small piece of black cardstock (5/8" by 2&1/8"), then the Happy Graduation sentiment foam taped.  Add enamel dots.

Glue a 6/8" by 4" strip of cardstock across the center of the window then glue the sentiment piece to the center.  Here is a close up to show the layers:

The Congrats Card Basics set has so many ways to layer it up, the possibilities are nearly endless:

So there you have it, a fun layered up shaker card for your favorite grad!

Just Rite Planning!

One of the things I was excited to see in the new May Release for Just Rite was their planner stamps!  Organization is not my strong suit....a planner is something I'd really like to start, but then, you kinda have to plan to take the time to use your planner....haha!

So in the interest of getting started, but going in baby steps, I've started with a weekly menu planner.  I figured this was a good way to avoid unnecessary trips to the grocery store, having to buy items I'm missing for the recipe I just decide to try.  Also figured it was a good way to actually have the ingredients to try some of these new recipes I never seem to get around to.  Especially important now that I'm living with an auto immune disease which leaves me with a gluten-free/dairy-free/processed-free diet!

I made it simple enough to use everyday, but still with a little fun built in so I'd want to keep using it!

To create this, cut 8&1/2 by 11" pieces of white cardstock into 4's (the standard A2 4&1/4" by 5&1/2"), then just stamp up and decorate.

For the cover:
Trim down the white piece by 1/4" on each side, and mat it onto a piece of black cardstock.  The cute row of knife and fork in the circles are from the Planner Circle Icons set, and stamped in a row using Black Tuxedo Memento ink.  This was matted on a strip of black cardstock (3/4" by 5&1/4") and glued to the cover.

Die cut the decorative oval from black cardstock using the Joy Oval Frame Dies.  Stamp the "weekly" from the Planner Hex Page stamp set and "menu" stamps from the Planner Diet & Exercise stamp set, then trim to a banner shape.  Layer and glue to the front cover.

This is the same thing you will do to create a cover page for each day of the week.  To make it fun to use, this one is done in bright rainbow colors.

Under each cover sheet is a "disposable" second page.  It can be filled out with that day's menu plan, and either thrown away when you are done, or kept for future use in a file box.  I stamped them with the day of the week, but you could just stamp on the "breakfast, lunch, dinner" stamps (from the Planner Hex Page set) and the grocery list, and reuse.  Or hey, if you always have "Taco Tuesday" you can use the same card with the day of the week....lots of options, your choice!  Love that!

The grocery list lines stamp and the stamp used to create the colorful tabs for the top of the cards are from the Planner Basics stamp set and the little grocery cart icon...from the Planner Circle Icons, of course!

Just Rite Time!!

I was so very excited to be chosen as a part of the Just Rite Papercraft team!  It was definitely a "pinch me I'm dreaming" moment.  They are one of my absolute favorite stamp and die companies!

The beginning of this journey was the reason for my hiatus here, but now the fun begins!  I'll be sharing projects all week long from the May release, and then the June release is right behind it!  So excited to share these with you!

This card was created with the new Just Rite clear stamps set At the Beach.  I stamped the coral pieces using the Abandoned Coral Distress Ink and fussy cut them out.  The shells and sentiment were stamped using Pumice Stone Distress Ink and I added a dash of color with copic markers.  The seahorse was stamped in Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and fussy cut out.

Here is the gorgeous set, and you can find it in the store HERE.

The beautiful delicate frame--the Garden Circles Die--is also from the new release:

It was cut out of a white pearl cardstock.  The center is backed with a circle of white cardstock I traced and cut out using this die, then I stamped the script background stamp from the beach set using Versamark ink, embossed it with clear embossing powder, then covered it with Pumice Stone Ink.

As a fan of everything beach....this set is already one of my favorites!

Thanks for stopping by today....make sure to check out the new goodies over at Just Rite!
