Summertime Project Fun

Oh so long since I've posted!
Life does keep one busy sometimes!

I have been crafting quite a bit tho, and I've
got some fun projects that were created
for the Clear Scraps blog.  You can see
all the details over there....check out the
links at the end of this post!

Are you familiar with Clear Scraps?
If not, stop over to their store, you can
find it HERE.  The blog is always full of
inspiration and great ideas to use their products!

So here are a few of the projects created this
summer using the Clear Scraps goodies!

How cute is this beach frame?  Clear Scraps +
Bella Blvd Splash Zone = adorable!

They have adorable shaker mini albums!
I'm a little obsessed with mason jars
at the moment....you too?

This one was from a cross over with Stampendous
stamps....they have amazing stamps, and are a
perfect pair with the Clear Scraps DIY Medium Pallet!

One of my favorite things to unleash some creativity,
the 12x12 Acrylic Sheets and stencils.  They
have so many great ones to choose from and
yep, even the chipboard is from Clear Scraps!

Another patriotic project, and another DIY
Medium Pallet shape!

This one was another cross promo this time with
Joy Clair stamps!  And this time a mini pallet!

Love, Love, LOVE Clear Scraps!
Hope you are inspired to do some fun summer crafting....
even great ideas of things to do with the kids over there!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Mixed Media Monday

I dabble in mixed media....but rarely post....don't know why!  Thought I'd share this LO today using mixed media goodies from UmWow Studio, and there's also some Pretty Pink Posh sequins in there!

If you aren't familiar with it.....UmWow Studio has some of THE best chipboard around for mixed media!  I used acrylic paints, distress inks and archival ink (to stamp) these pieces.  They don't warp, and they dry super fast.  Love them!

Gotta love those Documented Hashtag Banners too:

All of the UmWow confetti chip pieces are fun too--give you a lot of options....I used the circle confetti on this LO...painted it with Weathered Wood Distress Paint, then added some Picket Fence, then stamped with black Archival Ink, and finally brushed the edges with Distress Black Soot Ink.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Enjoy some crafty time today!

Just Rite Time!!

I was so very excited to be chosen as a part of the Just Rite Papercraft team!  It was definitely a "pinch me I'm dreaming" moment.  They are one of my absolute favorite stamp and die companies!

The beginning of this journey was the reason for my hiatus here, but now the fun begins!  I'll be sharing projects all week long from the May release, and then the June release is right behind it!  So excited to share these with you!

This card was created with the new Just Rite clear stamps set At the Beach.  I stamped the coral pieces using the Abandoned Coral Distress Ink and fussy cut them out.  The shells and sentiment were stamped using Pumice Stone Distress Ink and I added a dash of color with copic markers.  The seahorse was stamped in Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and fussy cut out.

Here is the gorgeous set, and you can find it in the store HERE.

The beautiful delicate frame--the Garden Circles Die--is also from the new release:

It was cut out of a white pearl cardstock.  The center is backed with a circle of white cardstock I traced and cut out using this die, then I stamped the script background stamp from the beach set using Versamark ink, embossed it with clear embossing powder, then covered it with Pumice Stone Ink.

As a fan of everything beach....this set is already one of my favorites!

Thanks for stopping by today....make sure to check out the new goodies over at Just Rite!

Supplies:
Dies: DIE-05035 Garden Circles Die
Stamps: CR-05057 At the Beach
Paper:  Cut Cardstock white pearl; Paper House Atlantis 6x6; AC coral; basic white
Ink:  Distress Ink--Abandoned Coral, Pumice Stone; Versamark; Copic Marker C3, BG 15
Embellishments/Other: Recollections rhinestones; Ranger Clear Embossing Powder

Ready for Summer?

Ahhh....life in the Midwest....it's winter time, cold, gray and icy.  Course, we don't have 30 inches of snow....I feel for my East Coast friends!

So I decided....who couldn't use a little sunshine right now?  I know I could, so I'm sharing a project that I had published in Scrap n' Art magazine this summer:

It was created using Paper House products...including their cute cork and die cut cardstock stickers!

The die cut sand castle has just a sprinkle of glitter....the cork'd stickers match up with the Colorways perfectly!

To give this an even more beach feel....I used a sanding block around the edges of the photo.

Another gorgeous die cut sticker....the seashell looks real, right?  It's wrapped in a piece of net and foam taped to the block.

The starfish is another die cut, and the glass knob was a dollar find at a craft store.

This is one of my favorite projects of our beach trip this past summer....I love home decor that is pretty and functional....and better yet....captures those precious memories!

I really hope you are enjoying sunshine wherever you are....if not....it's time to create your own!

Supplies:
Paper:  Paper House Colorways--Sapphire
Embellishments: Paper House--Sunshine Cork'd stickers; Fun Beach die cut stickers;  Recollections enamel dots
Adhesive: Xyron Mega Runner; Scor Tape
Other:  netting, wooden block, wooden feet, Snow Cap Adirondack paint, glass knob.

Summer Sunshine....I WISH!!

Cold, wet and rainy here in the midwest.....but hey, it could be snow!  I decided to warm things up a bit by creating a home decor project with beach pics from this year!  Who couldn't use a little beach in November?

I got the chance to play with a gorgeous watercolor collection from a company called Ella & Viv---one of their new fall/winter 2015 collections!  These papers are so pretty....perfect for the beach or any summertime event--and I also love that these papers are THICK.....really a great weight to work with, even more so for a home decor project like this easel frame:

The wooden frame was simply painted aqua, then I added a dash of orange around the edges to compliment the colors in the paper.  The coordinating stickers are fun, great to layer with, and I also used a little fussy cutting from the gorgeous star fish paper!

A few bling and enamel dots accent the stickers and starfish:

Just love that "This is my happy place" sticker....really sums it up....yep, life is better at the beach!

Thanks for stoppin' by today!  And if you'd like to know more about the Ella & Viv paper line Watercolor Beach, you can find out all about it HERE.

Embellishments:  Ella & Viv Watercolor Beach stickers; Recollections-rhinestones, enamel

By the Sea, By the Sea....

By the Beautiful Sea....you and me....ahhhh.....longing for the beach....only a couple of months and we'll be there!  But for now....I'm enjoying my mini vacay using the By the Sea collection from Graphic 45:

This wall hanging will be a reminder of good things to come and sweet beach memories.

I created it using Graphic 45 By the Sea papers, alpha sticker sheet, G45 adhesive
metal studs, G45 tags, Tim Holtz book plates, and jute by Darice.  the border on the
center piece is from a Martha Steward punch.  Everything is inked using Vintage
Photo Distress Ink, and the anchor has been hit with a layer of glossy accents.

Thanks for stoppin' by today.....remember to take the time to craft some wonderful everyday!

Swept Away....Craving Warmth, Sunshine and Waves!

Right about now....with another dusting of snow on the ground, I thought it would be the perfect time for a little summer vacation.  By The Sea from Graphic 45 inspired thoughts of days by the sea.....

So this LO comes with thoughts of warm sunshine, sea breezes, and sandy toes:

"Seaswept" LO by Laura Cox

A few close ups of the details:

The shells are fussy cut....the keyhole metal piece is also G45.  Goosebumps bling add a little sparkle.

The Pier 45 journal box is a perfect fit for our fishing off the pier....the ribbon reminds me of a fishing net....it's held in place with Tiny Attacher staples.

Page Two:

Close Ups:

More fussy cutting here....a little distressing with the Tonic Distresser Tool and some Vintage Photo Ink (all edges were inked with this).....thought this beach rules sign fit the pic pretty good too....lol.

A bit more of the netting ribbon....the seashell border is a Martha Stewart punch on cream cardstock. The postage stamp strip is from the border paper....always love a collection that includes those!

And a wee bit more fussy cutting....that to the beach sign looks so textured, so many details on these papers!

A final pic of the two page LO together....

Thanks for stoppin' by today.....hope you enjoyed a little "beach vacation"....now for the REAL thing!
