Scrap Your Stash Blog Hop January 2015!!

Welcome to the first Scrap Your Stash Blog Hop of the New Year!!  Wow, do we have an amazing line up of inspiration....so get ready to dig out that stash and get crafting!  You have hopefully hopped here from Charity's Blog and if you need to start from the beginning....that's Cathy's Blog HERE.

Wintertime here in the Midwest is a great time to get creative....it's too cold to be outside!!  So here's a fun winter home decor project I created with the Doodlebug Frosty Friends collection:

Love all the embellishments with this collection....the twine, the mini clothespins, the stickers, the sprinkles....makes it easy to craft up some winter cuteness--here's a couple of closer pics:

Love the little mitten stickers and snow globe:

And even though it's "old school" still love tearing paper....makes a great base for a wintery scene:

Thanks for hopping along today!  And still plenty of inspiration to be found....time to hop on over to Sandy's Blog to check out all the amazing over there!!

New Year's Resolutions.....NOT!

I'm not a fan of resolutions.....they seem so easy to break and then feel bad about.....so I'm on track this year to just take one step at a time to be a healthier me....eat better, exercise more, relax more!  I've made a little tracker for this using some fun Fancy Pants Designs and stamps from The Rubber Cafe' KOTM for January:

See the chalkboard washi along the bottom edge?  I can write with chalk to change my goals as I go....and the last page is about remembering to take some me time....something easy to forget sometimes.

Want to see more?  All the details and a written tutorial are over at The Rubber Cafe' blog.

Thanks for stoppin' by....it's gonna be a GREAT 2015!!

January Challenge Time: Snowflakes!

Over at Scrap It Girl we are rolling out the New Year with a great challenge!  Share your projects with snowflakes!  We've got some inspiration over on the blog and make sure to link up your projects HERE.

I was inspired by some new Tim Holtz and Prima goodies, to create this tag:

The soft sweater pattern in the background is from a Tim Holtz stencil and Picket Fence Distress Spray, and the blue is Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Inks blended together.

The Prima girl is layered by stamping on blue cardstock, Doodlebug paper, and AC glitter paper.  Queen and Co. rhinestones, and Doodlebug twine, Sprinkles and clothespins, and a bit of DCWV burlap paper add fun touches.  And I added some baubles and bling with Tim Holtz goodies too.

Here in Illinois....we are getting ready for our first real snowy weather this weekend.....this tag is the glittery pretty winter wonderland I'd prefer!

Thanks for stoppin' by today....remember to join us over at Scrap It Girl!
