You hopefully came here from LORI'S BLOG, and of course, you
should start at the Cutter's Creek Design Team Blog HERE.
The objective for our Blog Hop this weekend is to provide some
inspiration to help you get your holiday crafting underway!  Our
Design Team has come up with some fabulous projects and we have
a little bit of everything, from cards to gift ideas, and home decor items.
So we invite you to hop along with us and get your creative juices flowing!
But first, my little home dec/gift item:

Now....I will apologize right now everyone!  My computer has
caught itself a NASTY virus, and because of that....the VERY
un-techie me is trying desperately to post this on my son's
computer....using his unfamiliar photo editing software....as we
can clearly see....lol.  I will try tweak this pic tomorrow (AGAIN)
but for now....I want to go ahead and get this posted!  So excuse
my messy desk, and the so-so pic!  Please come back and take
a second peek later today!!  ETA:  Ok....a BIT better of a pic....
my son's editing software isn't the greatest....but remember to
click on the pic for a bit of a larger version....it's sure better than
the first one anywho!.....lol.

And I've added a close up, so you can see the sparkle of the
Glitter Dust.....see info about it below...

For my project, I started with an unfinished shadow box frame,
painted it with Adirondack dauber paint (Watermelon and
Pitch Black)--love these....super easy way to paint wooden
projects!  The papers and stickers and tag come from the
letters and numbers are AC Dear Lizzy collection, the die
cut on the top was from Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two
and embellished with matching silver Nestabling from
Want2Scrap, the red tinsel is Tim Holtz Tinsel Twine
and the flower in the upper right corner is from the

Another fun item I finally played with on this project....
Glitter Dust!  This stuff is awesome!  Just a light spray,
and it coats your paper/flowers, whatever, in a fine
glitter....dries instantly, and gives a soft shimmer....it's
gorgeous!  Used it on the flower and on the paper
behind the word "santa" and behind the "2001".

So thanks for putting up with my sad little pic....but
would love to see a comment anyway--let me know
what ya think!!  And I willtry to get a little better pic
up after I get some playtime with this new software!
....lol!!  I'm a kinda slow learner!....lol.

Now don't forget.....next stop:  FRAN'S BLOG and her
absolutely gorgeous project--hope you enjoy hopping along
with us this weekend....and remember to leave a comment
on every blog for you chance to win!

And just in case:
Here is the complete blog hop line up if you get lost along the way:

Patterned Paper Playtime....

Mixing it up with different patterns of paper in
a collection is an easy way to add interest to
any project....love that!  So when Just Rite
listed this as their challenge.....I was all over it!

So my entry for JustRite Friday Challenge #083
"Three's Company"....using three different
patterned papers on your card/project:

I used the MME Lost and Found collection,
and actually used 4 different papers...the black
stripe, the polka dot, the pink that the frames
are stamped on has a soft swirl pattern, and the
pink piece under the black ribbon that has a
frame pattern to it....I thought it was a good
mimic of the frames.  The stamps (the black
part on each frame, and the sentiment) and
the die that cut the little frames/windows are
from the Becca Feeken September Amazing
Grace club kit from JustRite.

The finishing touches:
punch:  Martha Stewart
ribbon: may arts organza
bling: stash and Queen & Co
twine: twinery
charm: Tim Holtz
button:  stash
ink: Black Soot Distress Ink

May Arts September "Ink It" Challenge Entry

It's time to get inky!!!  My favorite thing to do!
I need to say a HUGE thank you to May Arts,
and to Helmar....they sent us the ribbons and
the adhesive to attach all the embellishments!

This is my entry into the May Arts September
"Ink It" Challenge!

The pic is small...but it's because this thing is huge!
It's over three feet in length and a foot and a half
high!....later I have a collage pic too....remember,
click on the pic to make it bigger!

As for the challenge, we were given our choice of
4 ribbons to dye, ink, whatever, and I chose the
ribbons in the pic here....(I didn't have any
leftover of the twill ribbon....just a snippet of
the stuff I had already dyed orange!):

And to ink them up, I used:

And to paint all the wood, I used black and
purple paint from Making Memories, and inked
all the papers are inked with Black Soot Distress
Ink.  The gorgeous papers and chipboard?  By
Graphic 45....their Happy Haunting collection.
The yummy black and orange twine is from
Trendy Twine (Orange Licorice) and last but
not least....the skeleton stamp is from The Rubber Cafe.

Here is a close up of the skeleton banner:

And the treat favor holder boxes:

You can see all those gorgeous dyed May
Arts ribbons....I must say....those suede leaves
are AWESOME!!!  I use the Glimmer Mist,
and then stamped with Memento Black Tuxedo
(the sentiment is from Stamps of Life).

And a close up of the center part with the witches
hat (the mesh ribbon was dyed with the Tiger Lily
and layered as well as the flowers and more suede
leaves)...

And this center piece is a four sided cube.....
so here is a collage of all the pieces and parts,
so you can see it all:

Remember, you can click on any of the photos
for a closer look!!!

Thanks for stopping by, and if you get a chance,
would love for you to drop by the May Arts blog
