Sew Cute!!

That cutie pie Cocoa Mouse is back again! So for the challenge on the
Crazy 4 Cocoa blog......challenge CC4C9 called "cute as a button"....(you just
have to use buttons) this is my entry! I love the teal color.....one of my favs!
As a copic newbie, I think he turned out pretty good....it gets a little better
each time. I do love the lacy circle spellbinders too.....been playing with that
and running the baker's twine thru it a lot lately....sometimes you just get
on a kick with a new supply like that.....don't ya??

Keep an eye out for some gorgeous Valentines......I'm making a bunch of vintage
cards.....having fun with Tim's stamps and inks! Thanks for checking in and any
comments you leave are so appreciated!!

More "Sweet" Valentines....

This "sweet" little set was made with the Echo Park "Be Mine" collection.
I love that their collections include papers, stickers, journal boxes and strips.
So many different possibilities! This set was my Crop Chocolate project for
the month of January! A great gift to give to a special someone!!

Here's a close up of the card:
And the treat jar.....used the Making Memories Large Storage Jars, and it
holds exactly 2 bags of Hershey's Kisses PERFECTLY!! Yummy.....yep,
snackin' on 'em right now.....Happy Valentine's Day to me.....lol.
More "yummy" projects on the horizon. Course, you don't get much
yummier than Hershey's Kisses.....yum......think I need some more
"inspiration".....yep, chocolate will fix that.....lol.

A Second Helping of Cocoa??

Well, here he is.....another card with that sweet little Cocoa Mouse from
over at Sweet N' Sassy Stamps. They have a challenge blog over there
called Crazy 4 Cocoa and this week's challenge is just to do a "red and
pink" color theme so this is my entry for challenge #C4CC8. I used basic
kraft and red cardstock, embossed the red with the cuttle bug swiss dot
folder, and used the Spellbinders ovals and scalloped ovals to make the
focal point of the card. The pink and red paper is Echo Park Christmas
paper!! Cocoa was colored in with copics, and I glazed the little donut with
glossy accents. And then you know, I've gotta have my bling....love those
rhinestone strips from Kaiserkraft! And this end result.....YUMMY!!

Off to make, yes, MORE Valentine's......I'll give you a heads up.....Cutter's
Creek is going to have a lot of Valentine inspiration over there the first couple
weeks of February.....so make sure to check them out! Ok, I'm done, I think
I want a donut now....lol.....wonder if Dunkin' Donuts is still open this late?

Summertime!!

Yes this lovely little card I made for the SSD #60 sketch is made with
sunshine and summer colors.....why? Because bring it ON!! Yep, we'll
just skip right over the rest of winter and spring and get to the WARM!!
LOL!! Temps are plummeting here in the midwest.....we might reach a
whopping 5 degrees over the next few days.....yeesh! So at least I can
get a little sunshine in my crafting....lol. The sketch I used is here:
It's such a fun sketch.....give it a try! And you can link up over there at
Skipping Stones for a prize too!

Ok, off to make more Valentines.....I have a super cutie coming your way
tomorrow.....or so a little "mousie" told me....hint, hint......;)

Sweet Little Challenge

Well, I have just fallen in love with a sweet little mouse!! Ok, those are words
I honestly can say I thought I'd NEVER say....lol. This little mouse is just as
cute as it can be!! It's Sweet N' Sassy stamps Cocoa Mouse! I did this card for
their challenge #SSS91. I had to use this sketch:

You can see I flipped the sketch on it's side, and as it says it was "with a spin"
.....the spin being dry embossing. I used the Tim Holtz Snowflurries folder,
rubbed the edges of my paper with white paint dauber first, and then inked
the folder with broken china distress ink. After I ran it thru my cuttle bug,
I trimmed it down, and then sanded it all over to give it a softer look. Then it
was just dressing little Cocoa up....with some ribbon, bling and buttons. Used
spellbinders to cut the frames.

Yep, you'll be seeing more of Cocoa very soon.....I already have some images
colored for more cards, can't wait to get started!!

Love Is In The Air.....

And nothing sparks it like a little challenge from CR84FN!! I used their perfect
Valentine color inspiration to make this:

Yes, I'm trying to think ahead.....no one got Christmas cards....so how
about Valentines?! Yep, I think that I might just be able to get those
done....lol. I used the ever so fab Stamps of Life stamps.....LOVE!!!
They were embossed with Zing glitter red. I also have finally gotten
to use the new hem tape ribbon I got from The Craft Spot.....yep, you
guessed it, more LOVE!!! The embossed cuttlebug folder has been
inked with Tim Holtz distress ink in Vintage Photo and I pulled out those
Fancy Tags, scalloped squares, and Labels 14.....just can't use that enough!

Well, with the snow falling here, it's back to make more Valentines!
Keep an eye out....you never know when Cupid's arrow of artistic
inspiration may strike!

Frosty Fab

Ok, anyone that knows me, knows that winter is NOT my favorite time
of year! But it can be ok, when it's the inspiration for some fun projects!

This card is case in point.....I had this posted over on the Cutter's Creek
Blog and decided to share it here too.....I used the ever awesome Sizzix
Texture Fade "Snowflurries" and inked it up in Tim Holtz Stormy Sky
distress ink. And when I embossed it in my cuttlebug....it gave a soft
frosty blue background. I used the folder again, to emboss plain white
cardstock, then punched out 4 of the snowflakes, inked the edges, and
blinged them up with diamond stickles. The sentiment is stamped on
the Spellbinders labels 14 diecut that I also embossed on the edge.

So see, winter isn't ALL bad.....at least I'll keep telling myself that until
I finally see spring........lol!!

Wishes of Springtime.....

Yes, this card in it's pink, yellow and peachy goodness, has got me wishing
for springtime.....still a looooooong way off here in the midwest!.....lol! I am
loving these challenges over at Cupcake's Creations CR84FN!! If you
haven't checked them out, go here. I kinda muffed this one a bit....I had
just "pink" stuck in the brain, not "light pink", but I'm gonna link it and
hope it's ok! The inspiration was:
So if you live in a cold, dreary place of winter right now.....hope this brings
a little ray of sunshine your way today! But if you love winter, make sure
to stop by the Cutter's Creek Design Team blog tomorrow (go here) and
my project will get you in touch with your "frosty" side!....lol.

Til' next time!

Margarita Monday

Whew, the holidays are over.....time for a New Year's toast!! I made this card
using this sketch:
Sketch #057 over at Skipping Stones Designs. I used their Margarita Birthday
stamp set.....is this adorable or what? Everything I used is in that set! Stamped
and inked edges in Tim Holtz Peeled Paint distress ink, stamped the images in
Memento tuxedo black and colored in with copics (#YG23, YG67 & C-1). The
sentiment is stamped on Spellbinders labels 14. The circles are foam dotted on
the black strip. I did think about "salting" the rims with some glitter or beads,
but I just found myself enjoying the clean simplicity of the background too much!
I didn't think I'd like it competing with the other layers. Maybe next time!

Now, I think it's Cocktail Hour.....time for a little "Monday Margaritaville" right
here......lol. Until next time.....Cheers!!

Winter Wishes.....

This is a great sketch from the BoBunny blog. And I made this card
based on the sketch for their challenge:
I used the yummy Winter Frost collection.....the cardstock stickers, bling,
ribbon wraps, and paper. I made the flower by interlocking 2 different
types of pretty paper after I tore out a circle, and then tore them into a
spiral shape. After some crinkling and fussing......I really do like the end
result. A sweet card to send to a friend--even a valentine!
