Well so much going on in ONE day after a slooooooow week!!!  I've got to share
my giveaway first....I've got 2 tickets to that song is stuck in
my head.....and it may not be what you think....

but it IS tickets to CRAFTER'S paradise!
I've got 2 sets of 2 tickets (yep, 4 in all) to giveaway to 2 luckies for the Scrapbook Expo

news about that below.....stay tuned.....

But first....why am I giving away tickets?  Well the Expo donated them very generously
(THANK YOU!) to help us get the word out about this AMAZING raffle happening for
a wonderful cause at the Expo.   Here is the scoop:

Chicagoland Scrapbooker Magazine Staff member Betsy Burnett is involved in a group
called Shoebox 1k. This group helps to pack shoebox gifts filled with; school supplies,
personal hygiene items, toys, a stuffed animal, hard candy and more. These boxes are
then sent to needy children all over the world  along with the good news of God’s love,
through an organization called Operation Christmas Child. Last year Betsy and her group
packed over 1200 shoeboxes that were then distributed to Uganda, Madagascar, and
the Philippines.

At the Scrapbook Expo in addition to running the baggage check area, Shoebox 1k also
holds “basket raffles.” Manufacturers and businesses  have donated over $1000 in prizes
to be given away. Tickets can be purchased for $1 each or buy 10 get 2 free and are
available at the Baggage Check booth at the Scrapbook Expo that weekend. All money
raised goes to help purchase items for the shoeboxes and cover delivery costs.

And here is a peek at a couple of the raffle baskets as well:

One donated by RuthAnn Lewykcyj (she'll have an awesome Uppercase Living
donation besides this CM donation too!):

This basket is from Pampered Chef consultant Shirley Van De Wege:

And here is my set of mixed media goodies that will be raffled at the Expo:

So come to support a great cause, come to shop to your scrappy heart's content,
come to take some awesome classes, or crops.....the Scrapbook Expo is a blast!

Theresa Collins Update....

WOW.....last nite's class was amazing!!!  If you ever, ever get a chance....take a class
with Theresa, you won't be disappointed!

This was the set of goodies waiting for us at our table:
And she even included a little surprise in every pack, in addition to AMPLE

Here was our project:

This was such a fun project--that's only the front!  So much going on,
and so many fun tips that she shared!  The little "mini book" on that front cover
that is tied up with a ribbon is 4 panels of one of her journal card sheets of paper,
you cut the strip, score along the sides, and then you have a sweet little accordian
mini book!  So many cute touches, goodies.....saved a lot of the bling to add with
wet glue at home....amazing!

And Theresa is certainly beautiful inside as well as out.....ok, this pic is hard to share,
not much comparison, but I'll share anyway:

I'm so looking forward to spending the entire day today hanging out at Theresa's classes!
Again....if you see one near you....sign up, you won't be disappointed!!!

Thanks Theresa for an awesome class....looking forward to today!
