Happy Memorial Day!!

An extra day in our weekend, the distinct smell of grilling burgers, and
most importantly, remembering that our freedom is a gift from so many
who serve and give their own lives to make America a place of freedom.

My personal thank you to so many who give so much:

God Bless you and your families for the loving, giving sacrifices
you make every single day!

There are also more patriotic tribute projects up over on the blog
at Practical Scrappers today.

there is an awful lot of white space on this card!

Ok, I think I'm kinda liking this style....it's sure quick and
easy to pop out a card!....lol!  I usually fuss for a while!

me of patent leather....very nautical!!

Got some other things in the works, but we'll see when

forgotten!).  So what are you working on lately?  Leave
a comment, and I'd love to stop by your blog too, and

found some from the new stamp company

is from the new Studio Calico Atlantic collection.

I stamped the anchors and the sentiment with
Stormy Sky distress ink, and I also stamped
the anchor border stamp onto the UmWow
chipboard star, and along the bottom of the
red cardstock mat using a Snow Cap
Adirondack paint dauber.

Wingin' It....

I'm sharing a soft as springtime card today, with
one of my very favorite stamps from The Rubber Cafe'.

The Large Paisley Dragonfly stamp....and it's stamped
with guess what?  Scrap Happy Glue, and then I gently
buffed on some of their You're So Fine glitter....

Here is a close up of the "bejeweled" dragonfly:

Sunshine Central

Oh I am so happy we have sunshine again!!!  Love spring,
don't you?  And the sunshine is spreading....to my mini
album project....I've been wanting to get my hands into
some ink and paint and create....and this mini is the
fruits of that labor!

Lots of pages.....this is an adorable wooden
book from Genuinely Jane Studios (GJS) and
the arrows are chipboard from UmWow Studio.

I sprayed the book with Dylusions spray by Dyan
Reavely and then lightly brushed it with yellow
from Creative Imaginations.  I also used that to
paint the chip pieces as well....it has a soft sheen
to it....perfect for the "sunshine".  The inside was
all covered with pretty paper from the 24/7
collection from Simple Stories and some of
their stickers--I will try to post some pics later,
right now....blogger is giving me fits!  I did manage
to get this close up posted:

Enjoy the sunshine....but don't forget to take a
little crafting time too!
