How many times do you try to look at items in a different way?
The true beginnings of "scrap" booking started here....yep, it's
time to get back to the root of the matter!! While there are so
many embellishments you can buy....have you ever tried just
making them yourself? Well....I got inspired by some challenges...
one of which is over at Moxie Fab World called the Household Items
Challenge in the Moxie Fab World!! (find it HERE). You are
supposed to use an everyday household item to make something.
Well, I've been thinking about all the water bottle caps I go thru,
and thought....why not those? So I painted 'em, gave them a
punched out paper center inked for a little accent, added a bling
brad center....and there ya have it....sunflowers!! Just in time
for the first day of spring!
Remember, that you can join in the challenge too....head over to
Moxie Fab and check it out....they have a bunch!!
Items used:
EP Dots & Stripes Soda Fountain
AC cardstock
MM Paper Reverie Brads and bling
MM Wedding Thank You stamp

Recycling, what a good way to start out the Spring season. Love the card!
ReplyDeleteSO CUTE!!! Love the flowers and the color scheme. I'm a nurse and we are constantly talking about saving the caps from IV meds. Several people are using these to make name badge holders, but I think I'll try to incorporate into my scrapbooking!
ReplyDeleteThat is really a cute card and such a imaginative idea to reuse the bottle caps!!
ReplyDeleteReally ingenious Laura.
ReplyDeleteI love that idea! They're fantastic on this sweet card!
