Scrapping Our Stash Blog Hop with Practical Scrappers

Welcome to the Practical Scrappers "Scrappin Our Stash" Blog Hop!!

Hopefully you've hopped from Kim's blog HERE and I'll have a link
of your next stop at the end of this post.  If you'd like to start from the
beginning, hop over to Practical Scrappers HERE.  So much inspiration!
And just FYI....Kiwi Lane is sponsoring our hop, and offering a sweet
prize, so make sure to pop over to the Practical Scrappers blog for the
details on that.....but guess what?????

I also have a sweet little prize pack waiting for a lucky someone....yep,
some Valentine's goodies coming your way.....just as long as you leave
me a comment....would love to have you as a follower....but won't make
that a requirement.   Yes, one lucky winner will be chosen, and I will
post the winner Monday....must comment by Sunday Jan 12th by
midnight EST.  And the goodies will be a surprise....but I tend to be
kinda generous....so don't think you'll be disappointed!....lol.

Well, on to the real business......time to clear out those old stash items,
to make way for the new, hot, hip and happenin' CHA goodies!

I decided it was time to crack the seal on some great goodies I picked
up from BoBunny....their Crush collection.  Perfect timing to make this
home decor piece for Valentine's Day:

And the best part....not only did I use the paper, a journal box sheet,
chipboard and stickers, but also popped open some Making Memories
paints, to paint the raw wood cube and candlestick pieces.

Here are close ups of the different sides of the cube:

This is a journal box, and 2 stickers....I used a little paper to make the
banners, and added the chipboard birds and hearts.

Side 2:

Love the impact of this side....yet super easy....journal box, chip heart,
and chip love....trimmed to fit.

Side 3:

Yep, you guessed it....another "journal box" and added the birdcage
and hearts out of chipboard, and the sentiment is another sticker.

Side 4:

Wow....if that doesn't say love is in the air....lol!  Another journal box,
but this one I trimmed to fit, then put a 1" piece of the "love" sentiment
paper on the left side.  Not before I wrapped it with some yummy
Trendy Twine and added a chip heart border.  Another sticker sentiment
and chip hearts in the upper right corner finish this side.

The top:

Thought I'd add a close up....this is a huge chip piece from the
Crush collection, and I used Glossy Accents to adhere a jewel
knob (Michael's dollar bin!).  A bit of organza ribbon and more
twine are the finishing touches on top.  I used the same twine and
ribbon, as well as another sticker/banner and a Tim Holtz bauble
to dress up the candlestick.

A quick tip....I assemble each square, THEN adhere it to the cube.
I recommend a strong adhesive, I use Glossy accents to attach the
wooden pieces together, and use Scor-Tape to adhere the paper
to the wood pieces....it really holds!

So there you have it....a little Valentine project, and I love that I
used my stash to make it!

Your next stop is Kelly Jean--you'll find her HERE.  So many
wonderful projects on this hop.....hope you'll grab a cuppa, and
settle in for a lot of amazing inspiration!  Thanks for stoppin' by!
