Clean and Simple Style

I'm a fan of a stamp set that can give me a lot of options.  One of my favorite things to do is try to think of other ways to use stamps.  This card was created using the JustRite Planner Hex Page stamp set....yep, planner stamps to make a birthday card!

Here is the stamp set I used:

That little row of water drops in the bottom right corner ^^^^^^^

I used an ombre ink technique to stamp these together to create the geometric designs in the corners.
Then the JustRite Happy Birthday Sentiment Die finishes it off to make this a super quick and easy card.

Fun Fold Celebration!

Do you like fun fold cards?  I like SIMPLE fun fold cards.....so I created this easy pocket card that holds a tag....it can be a bookmark, just a fun accent, or you can attach a gift card.  Great for those grads, birthdays, showers, anything gift card worthy!

Paper Bag Card FUN!!

I have a great group of crafty friends that often come up with ideas for swaps, and fun challenges.  Sometimes, it's trying new techniques.  One of these we recently did was to try a Paper Bag card, and I've gotta say....I am HOOKED!!!  These are so fun!

I also love using journal boxes as accents too....they tuck into a design to add a little extra something.

Favorite Things Friday....and a WINNER too!

My oh my....where does the time go?  Over a week since my last post.....a little working 3 days at Scrapbook Expo in Milwaukee, plus new carpet in 3/4 of our home, plus working 2 extra days this week....um, that equals TOO CRAZY!!!

Time for some catching up....and better yet, it's Favorite Things Friday over at Scrap It Girl!  We are sharing our favorite embossing folders...and tho I love them all, my two newest are my 2 new faves:

I got an Craftwell Teresa Collins Ebosser for Mother's Day!  Woot, woot to my awesome guys!!!  And I used these before they were released at a class over at Hannah's Home Accents, in Antioch, IL.  They are AWESOME!!!  They even have the slits pre-cut in the sides to use with cards.....LOVE!!!

Na na na na na na....You Say It's Your Birthday!

It's time for a Birthday Challenge....Yeah!  Today is March 1st....wow where did February go?  We are definitely in like a lion since it's snowing....AGAIN.  But I'm thinking bright, warm thoughts of happy, fun,

Here's my birthday project:

I went with a clean and simple look using the My Mind's Eye Hip-Hip Hooray collection.  And I broke out the Stickles....haven't done that for a bit....there's a bit of frosting on that cupcake:

And can you see that texture in the above pic?  I also decided to Stop The Hoarding Madness and crack the seal on my Fancy Pants corrugated paper....can I say LOVE!  Now that it's open, it's going to be getting a workout!
