Ahhhh, the joys of the Midwest winters....cold, cold, snow, snow....and then repeat, repeat....lol. But I've come up with a term that fits it well....we have comfort food during this time of year, why not "Comfort Crafting". Yep, when the snow flies and it's too cold to even breathe outside....stay inside and get your craft on!!!
That's where this card comes in....a warm latte on a COLD day hits the spot:
This card came together using the supplies from The Rubber Cafe' KOTM: Tea for Two. It's one of my favorites....course, every kit seems better than the last, so I keep saying that....lol. This one includes the gorgeous paper pad from Carta Bella....Traditions. You can find the kit HERE, and my post with all the details HERE. Also have a sweet little trick for tying ribbon.
Love the way these stamps layer too....here's a closer peek:
Thanks for stoppin' by today.....take time to enjoy some "Comfort Crafting" of your own....I've been working on it....will have a lot of great cards and projects coming up soon....just can't share them yet!
*Hey....just a reminder....today is the LAST day to link up your heart projects over at Scrap It Girl for a chance to win....linky is on THIS POST!

I love all different music, soundtracks (like Hairspray or Pitch Perfect), Christian (a few faves....Stephen Curtis Chapman, Amy Grant, and Michael W Smith), current pop (Brittany, Pink, Gaga, just to name a few), but my go to I want peppy fun music that I can sing along with (yes, I am one of THOSE peeps....lol) is 80's music:
Pat Benetar, Michael Jackson, Journey, Madonna, Duran Duran, Wham.....the list is endless....as an 80's girl, I love 'em all!
So how about you.....what's your favorite type of music when you create?
And speaking of creating.....make sure to stop by and say "hi" over at The Rubber Cafe' today! I'm over there with all the details on how to make this card:

Head Over Heels Mini Album
Even though Valentine's Day is over, it's still February, and still plenty of time to get in more of the Valentine crafting I love!
This mini album made with the BoBunny Head Over Heels collection will be available as a kit at the LSS, Hannah's Home Accents in Antioch, IL:
This chipboard album is from Heart of Texas Studio....we carry these and many more at Hannah's!

Page Three:
A tag peeks out of a pocket and those banners and with the printed doily....fussy cut out of one of the journal box pages for the Head Over Heels collection.
Page Four:
American Crafts Pow glitter paper adds some bling--the journal card with "Amore' was cut in two with half put on the bottom, half on the top....the top sticking up over the edge....you'll see the back decorated on page five below.
Page Five:
This page is from the mini album paper....it's pre-segmented into 4 6x6 pieces, makes for a quick cute page. Stickers round it out, and the alpha stickers on the page make it easy to add sentiments like the word "love" along the edge of my photo mat.

Page Seven:
The strips are fussy cut out of a journal box sheet on this page.
Page Eight:
Another of the large 6x6 pieces, and a sticker banner fussy cut from the sticker sheet.
Page Nine:
Love the BoBunny doilies....perfect accent for this collection.

Back Cover:
Strips of Pow glitter paper bling it up a notch....and the other alpha on the combo sticker sheet gives the finishing touch.

Love Fest.....Valentine's Inspiration
Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Today over at The Rubber Cafe', we are having a little "love fest" of great Valentine inspiration! Whether you need a last minute Valentine, or want to think ahead to next year, or just would like a little "love in the air" today!
These cute little tags are a great project to tie onto a gift, box of candy, whatever, to let someone know just how much you care:
I used the "Remember the Moments" set and the "Just My Type" set from The Rubber Cafe'. Both are great sets, with a lot of options besides Valentine's Day.
To make these tags:
1. Cut a 2&1/2" by 3&1/2" piece of black cardstock. Trim the corners to get tag shape.
2. Decorate as desired.
To elaborate a bit....I used 1" and 2" strips of paper in different patterns from the BoBunny Head Over Heels 6x6 pad to decorate. I used the "love" stamp from the Remember the Moments set....I colored with my Zig Markers in red and black and stamped on white cardstock. The "happy valentine's day" and xoxoxo are from the Just My Type set. I trimmed them all to make the banners after they were stamped. I added Queen and Co. Goosebumps bling and twine. I also used buttons from my stash....but for the red button, I wanted a glittery button, so I made one using Scrap Happy Glue (careful to spread a thin layer so it didn't fill up the button holes....lol) and then buffed on a coat of Patriot Red You're So Fine glitter.
I also made this sweet little kitty cat card using the stamps from the Creative Cafe' Kit of the Month:
Colored with Copics, and decorated up with itmes from The Rubber Cafe' KOTM. Love those clips and the Queen and Co photo corners are fun too!
Thanks for stoppin' by today....hope you enjoy the "Love Fest"....make sure to drop by The Rubber Cafe' to see all the inspiration up on the blog today!

Sharing a Little Love....
Valentine's is one of my favorite crafting holidays....so easy to create with hearts, love and pretty papers! Scrap It Girl has a challenge up for February....a project with hearts....now that's easy breezy and timely!
Today I'm sharing a couple of cards I made using Pebbles Valentine papers and a little bling and twine:
I do apologize up front....photos aren't the best.....I snapped these at work after I finished creating them for a card kit at Hannah's (under florescent light!)....lol. But you get the idea....and it's all about the hearts!
