Pop of Color....

Love to take black and white, and give it a "pop" of
color to take it to the next level:

I do have a little close up here where you can
see the layers a bit better:

If you "pop" over to The Rubber Cafe' today,
this card is up with all the details on how it was
made and what goodies I used to make it....

Playing With Prima Doll Stamps....

Well, like so many others....I have joined in the Prima
Doll Stamp mania!....lol.  These little beauties are
quite addicting....guess the little girl inside still loves
to play with paper dolls!....lol.  I have a few to
post....but 2 are still a secret for a tag swap I'm
in, but I did another, just for fun:

Her tag base is one of the Prima Tags, I used
Faber-Castell Gelatos to make the Red, White, &
Blue background.  Then I stamped it with white
Adirondack Snow Cap paint using the Unity
brick wall and mesh stamps, and I stamped Prima
Swirl stamps in Black Tuxedo Memento Ink.
I stamped one of the Prima floral borders in
Red Pepper Adirondack paint, then brushed the
edges of the tag with the Snow Cap dauber as well.

To make the doll....I used Authentique's Glory 6x6 pad
and stamped her "stockings", her top, and her skirt
ruffle (I added creases/pleats to give it texture).
Her jean skirt is a piece of canvas colored in with
gelatos, then stenciled over using a Crafter's Workshop
stencil and the Red Pepper paint. The rest of her
body and hair was colored in with Copic Markers.
I added black Glossy Accents to her shoes.

The finishing touches on the tag....UmWow chip
stars painted and stamped with the Adirondack
daubers and Prima stamps, Want2Scrap bling,
K&Co bling flowers, Trendy Twine, Prima
Flowers, and a Doodlebug button. And the
ribbons at the top were dyed using Distress
Ink in Salty Ocean and Festive Berries.

Here's a close up of a few details:

I really enjoyed playtime with Julie Nutting's
Prima Doll Stamps....can't wait to play again soon!

Bright Birthday....

Well I'm headed to Scrapbook Expo in Milwaukee, WI
tomorrow to work at The Rubber Cafe' booth!
If you stop by, make sure you find me to say hi!

I have SO many fun things I'm wanting to post but have
to keep under wraps--and some I didn't get a chance to
get good pics of yet!  But I did want to post a little
something before I left, so here is a sweet, bright
birthday card I made using stamps from The Rubber Cafe'

I used the "Hey Cupcake" set, and the fun
new BoBunny Surprise! 6x6 paper pad.
The balloons are fussy cut from the paper,
and the buttons and twine are just from my
stash.  The two little gems next to the sentiment

Hope you enjoy your weekend, I'll be working
hard at the Scrapbook Expo, but ready to get
back to some crafting fun when I get back!

April is Time to Upcycle!

Did you know April is National Recycle Month?

In honor of that....I'll be posting a project or two of
trash into treasure upcycles!  Here is a card keeper
stamp set:

I used a lot of fun inks, paints, and one of my new favorite finds.....
UmWow chip pieces!  The hexagon pieces on this project are
from their product line.  There are a ton of shapes available....
can't wait to play with more!

If you'd like a few more details, check out the full post over at
The Rubber Cafe' blog....you can find it HERE.

Have a great weekend, and hopefully carve out a little time to
upcycle your way to your own treasure!

More Springtime....

Well, even tho' spring is not wanting to show up
weather wise, I'm making flowers since they
aren't growing!....lol.  Here is a card I made
using stamps from The Rubber Cafe' (TRC):

Yes, I made my own springtime!....lol.

The fun part of this card, the window is
made from the Large Jar stamp from TRC
and the flowers made from the citrus slice
stamp in the Fruit Medley set:

Here is the jar stamped....

And then made into a window frame using a 1&1/4" CM
punch, and the Tim Holtz Woodgrain embossing folder,
and Distress Inks:

And here is the citrus slice, stamped, colored
with copics, and fussy cut to make the flowers:

And a close up of the finished window box:

G45 Springtime....

Ok, I have to admit....girly type papers....not usually
something I go for.  Not a big pastel person, but
me over.  Love the detail, the vintage goodness
literally makes me swoon....lol.  And maybe it's
just because I am SO looking forward to spring,
but that's ok....it got me crafting, fussy cutting,
and creating....so it's all good!  Here is the result:

A bouquet of spring flowers, it's G45 goodness,
dressed up with Trendy Twine, and I also
broke out my Atyou Spica and Sakura Glaze
pens to color the flowers, leaves and centers.

Here is a close up:

So hope this gives you a little dose of springtime today...
and you enjoy crafting some springtime goodness of your own!
