More Trendy Twine Fun....and Giveaway Time!
Today is my 2nd stint over at Trendy Twine as a guest designer! I just
can't get enough of their awesome twine!
Today's Project:
This started out as a $1 charger plate I bought Mike's. When I saw them,
I knew there was a project waiting to happen!....lol. I used Echo Park
Springtime collection. I measured and then cut a circle of solid EP cardstock
for the base, then the little scene was made with stickers and paper. The sun,
clouds, "grass" and flowers are fussy cut....with a second set of the sun and
clouds (just the small cloud and sun) to pop dot those for more depth. The
butterflies and sentiment are from the sticker sheet. The butterfly strip and
the green word strip (kinda hard to see under the twine) came from the
border cardstock sheet. I wrapped the gorgeous Grape Fizz Trendy Twine
around and tied a double bow.....then I adhered the whole thing to the
charger plate with Scor Tape. The frame that finishes it off.....more Scor
Tape carefully laid around the edge (2 layers of the 1/8") and then wrapped
it with more of the Grape Fizz twine.....it just frames it out perfectly!
Thanks so much for stopping by today.....and hey, I think I might have
mentioned a little blog candy...hmmm??? Well....if you pop over to Trendy
Twine HERE and leave me a comment, and then come back here and leave
me a comment.....I will have a drawing, and a little blog candy coming your
way if you win (ok, maybe even two or THREE of you)! It will definitely
involve some twine.....and some other good stuff too...I haven't had a chance
to get it together yet (my son's high school graduation has taken a LOT of
time lately!....lol).......but if you've ever seen my blog candy....it's always well
worth the time to comment! Oh, and by the by...make sure you are a follower
of my blog too please!!

Baby Love....
Have you played with the new "button trend" yet? I just had the idea in my head for
this baby card, when I started seeing all the buttons being used lately! I also wanted
to play along with CR84FN challenge #53:
What an awesome color combo, huh?? Just fell in love with it, and knew I found
the palette for my baby card! Here was the result:
I used MME Lost and Found 6x6 "Madison Avenue" (pink) and also the Lost
and Found 2 Breeze (aqua) and Bazzill cardstock as my "neutral" base. The
heart was cut with Spellbinders classic hearts, after I embossed the piece with
the "Seeing Spots" cuttlebug folder. That piece is popped up to frame the
buttons underneath...they are from Fancy Pants. The twine is the pretty "Sky"
color from Trendy Twine, the pearls and border punch from Martha Stewart,
and last but not least....the "Precious Baby" sentiment, is from the stamp set
"Sweet Pea" from Shabby Chic Stamp Co. (stamped in Broken China Ink)
If you haven't seen that set....it's one of THE best baby stamp sets I've seen,
it's really adorable!
Thanks for stopping by today.....hope you get a little playtime today....me, it's
time to clean my craft room....so it's ready for the next crafting adventures!!

I'm a Guest at Trendy Twine!!!
I'm really honored to be a guest this month at Trendy Twine! And a huge THANK YOU
to Lesley over there for letting me "play"!!
My first post is up today:
The "twine of the month" is Grape Fizz....it's gorgeous isn't it?!! Love this
color! I thought the twine was the perfect touch on this Mother's Day card.
It's a nice simple card....I used Basic Grey Wisteria in 6x6 (the purple is a
great match with the twine!) and for details, I cut apart some Want2Scrap
bling, and also used the purple Studio G gems....a girl can never have enough
bling, right? The dress form is a Maya Rd. chipboard piece covered with
the BG paper, sanded, and inked, the kraft cardstock makes the base pieces,
(inked with Vintage Photo), the punched edge from a Martha punch, buttons
from my stash, and the Happy Mother's Day sentiment from Shabby Chic Stamp Co.
The trick to making the twine "dress" was just a piece of scor tape, that I
stuck the twine down as I looped it, then another piece of scor tape, with
a small piece of seam binding for the waist band.
Oooo, and the inks are Vintage Photo and Seedless Preserves distress ink!
Hope you get a little Mother's Day cardmaking inspiration today.....it's this
weekend!! So take the time to make someone special in your life a card
today! And remember to check in to the Trendy Twine store....lot's of
absolutely GORGEOUS twine over there!!

Still working on some NSD projects....quite a few actually! Hope you got a
chance to play too! This one is for Echo Park's NSD challenge #3....to
scraplift one of their DT experts. I chose these by Wendy Sue Anderson:
Super cute embellishments, aren't they? So I made this version using the new EP
Hello Summer papers/stickers.....here they are:
I think they turned out pretty cute! Unfortunately, we are in the middle of a big
thunderstorm....so, I lost my natural light....but it's not too bad!
