All in a Day's Work....

Ok, maybe it was two days....but in addition
to the normal "mom" stuff....lol....I took some
serious time to get my craft on!!  I made 3
card kits (22 cards) for Hannah's, and a home
dec piece I have been wanting to do since I
gave a home to this jumbo clothespin last week!
Another great step towards being more organized!

First up, the jumbo clothespin:

Never get tired of using yummy bright Echo Park!
The little kraft bags are from Canvas Corp--each
labeled with the day of the week (dressed up with
a fussy cut cloud, and a bit of twine), I put a card
in each bag to write my "to-do" list for each day--
I also included a second card for the menu item for
that day....on Sunday, I'll sit down and plan out the
next week....awesome right?

And I'll share a sneak peek of the Hannah's kits here,
the full kits will be up on the Hannah's blog HERE, in
the next day or two!

Card #1 (Darcie's Stamps and Authentique Paper):

Card #2 (WRMK):

Card #3 (Darcie's Stamps and Fancy Pants Paper):

So just a snippet of my crafty weekend.....
more Valentine inspiration to come, and
remember to check the Hannah's blog
for info about the card kits!

Take a little time for some crafty fun today!

Inspiration Station....

I made this project for the DT over at Cutter's Creek...
there is a full write up and tutorial over there, you can
find it HERE.

I need a little "nudge" sometimes or help remembering
the important things.....this Inspiration Memo Board
is to help with that....

And here's a close up:

Adirondack Paint Daubers, Spellbinders, Prima Roses, Unity Stamps,
Want2Scrap bling, Distress Ink, WOW embossing powder, also
Canvas Corp and yep, Trendy Twine.....took a 79 cent frame from the
clearance sales at Michaels to this project....sah-weet, huh?  And some
needed inspiration to remember to take the time for the important things!

Be inspired everyday to create!

More Love In the Air....

Well, I am mixing it up a bit....time to give
Crate Paper some Valentine's love!  Made
this home dec project for Hannah's....

Almost entirely Crate Paper's "Fourteen" collection,
Want2Scrap Pearls, Trendy Twine, painted chipboard
and Stickles are the finishing touches.

Here are close-ups of the individual plaques:

Ahhhh....love!  Can't you feel it?  It's in the air...
feel the crafting inspiration!!!

Are We There Yet?

I'm worried you all might be thinking....wow ANOTHER
Valentine!.....lol.  Well....they are gonna keep on coming,
this is the last in the Authentique Lovely collection set, tho.

Kinda sad....*sniff*....loved creating with the collection!
And even tho, I had already posted all my Valentines....
I saw a place to link for a contest using these colors
over at the Authentique blog HERE.  Here is the inspiration:

Well it's of course just the perfect colors of the Lovely
collection and like the inspiration pic, lacy, and pretty!
I used the 6x6 bundle pad (mini versions of the papers
"adore", "crush", "amore", and "fancy") and also the
"elements" sticker sheet. I added a bit of twine and a
chipboard heart to finish it off.

More Valentine's coming your way....have you started
your projects?

Chasing Winter Blahs....

It's sunny but oh so cold out (-2 with -20 wind chill)
a perfect time to stay inside and craft!  So another
Valentine today....with the ever lovely Authentique.

I used the 6x6 Authentique Lovely paper pad and
sticker sheet to make this Valentine.  I trimmed the
one piece to look like an envelope flap....cute, huh?

A little button and twine from my stash, and my ever
popular Want2Scrap bling on the black tab on the
flap, and it's finished.

More Valentine goodies tomorrow, hopefully you're
inspired to do some crafting too!!

I'm A Fan Too!!

Today is the day I'm over on the Want2Scrap Blog!

I'm a big fan of Want2Scrap bling....so many beautiful
options for blinging out projects....and I'm a bling it
on kinda gal!  Two of my Valentine's are up over there,
but thought I'd share another new Valentine with a little
Want2Scrap bling:

Yes, another of those pretty Authentique Lovely
collection Valentines!  The Want2Scrap bling
finishes it off perfectly....love it!  And remember....
Hannah's the LSS in Antioch, IL has all the goodies,
and kits to make these Valentines....including the
Want2Scrap bling!!

I also have a HUGE project with tutorial coming
up on the 27th....so stay tuned for that one!  But
you know there will be more Valentine's goodies
coming too!

If you get a chance....pop over to Want2Scrap, the

Lovely Valentine...

More Valentine's to share today....yes,
I meant it when I said it was one of my
favorite crafty holidays!

Authentique's Lovely collection is so
beautiful, it's easy to create!

This one has a bit of twine, buttons, velvet
ric rac, and Want2Scrap bling.  The papers,
frame and sentiment are all from Authentique,
the red is basic cardstock with Black Soot Ink
(the heart is a chipboard diecut).

And thought I'd share a second one today as
well--this one "pretty in pink":
Almost hard to believe this is the same "Lovely"
collection!  More twine and buttons....that sweet
tag is from the collection....one thing I love....you
can make multiples, because there are 3 of the
sentiment/tag stickers on every sheet....great for
cardmakers....thank you Authentique!!

Are you inspired to make some Valentines?  Just
make sure to take a little time to get crafty today!

Catching Up....

Well, I fell a little behind in my "blogging duties"...
so sorry faithful fans!  I meant to post a pic of
goodies, more card pics, and a couple of winners,
and life got in the way!.....lol.  But here is one
loooooong post, to amend some of those issues!

So, be patient....and you'll be rewarded with
blog candy winners, project pics...and even a
fun little find I just made!

First up, I will post a sweet little (and I do mean
little) Valentine's card.  Yes, another for the
challenge over at Moxie Fab World....the ever
so Moxie Fabulous "Make an Itty Bitty Card"
challenge.  You can play HERE.  And my card:

Super simply sweet....MME Lost & Found Union Square paper,
a chipboard heart covered in said paper and inked with Black
Soot Distress Ink, Want2Scrap pearls, an EK success punched
border, a button, and it's done!

Funny thing....I had so many people commenting on the size of my
little blue and yellow card, thought I'd post pics showing the actual
size of BOTH cards....to show it really is true, you can get a lot of
impact in a very small space.....so here ya go:

Amazing, huh?

And now how about those winners?

1st prize:  Tcee

and because I had sooooo many sweet comments,
I added a second prize....

Second Prize:  Deb G

Congrats to both of you, and will get these out
to you so you can have some Valentine Card
making fun!

One last little item.....I am not big on the whole
"haul" video thing, because you often can't find
the items, and just drool over them....lol.  But
these are soooo cute, and you SHOULD be
able to get them at your Target right now in
their dollar section....but I would bet they won't
last long!  Aren't these cute as can be and on
trend for scrappy/altered art fun:

Can't wait to use these!!!

So, that's more than enough for now....but more
Valentine's coming, so keep stopping by, but again,
thanks for all the sweet comments.....and remember,
to keep watching....I am inching closer to that 200
mark, and a HUGE giveaway and thank you celebration!

Take time for some inky, crafty fun today!

My Fussy Valentine....

Well....I went the cute route for a bit....here's
the elegant version, and it's actually for the
challenge over at JustRite Stampers.  It's
a sketch challenge (#88), you can find it
HERE, and here is the sketch....

And here is my entry:
The details:  Paper:  MME Lost and Found Union Square 6x6
                   Spellbinders:  JustRite Nested Sentiment dies
Samantha Walker Twisted Metal Tags & Accents
Stamps:  JustRite Vintage Floral Labels (this is the black scroll,
medallion type stamp that is stamped onto the burgandy
                                 paper behind the sentiment)
JustRite Just Because Vintage Labels (the "Hugs & Kisses"
sentiment stamped as the sentiment, and also on the seam
binding bow, and the scroll stamped around that sentiment)
Extras:  Want2Scrap Pearls and Swirl Pearls, Trendy Twine (Black
Licorice), May Arts Burlap Ribbon, button from stash.

And because any sketch is open for a bit of interpretation....I use the swirly Spellbinder
die as my "swirl" of ribbon across the top!

Remember, you can play along too....check them out!

Back tomorrow with a blog candy winner, and another mini card!

MME is coming out with this:

The Collectable: Notable collection....say THAT
five times fast....lol!  LOVE THIS!!  And love
MME (well, just see my last blog post too....lol)
and better yet....they are doing giveaways from
CHA thru little contests....this blog post is part
of that!  So what do you think?  You can check
out all their new releases on their blog HERE.
And on FB HERE

Sweetness...It's a Blog Giveaway!

Today....a break in the Valentine's action....
and remember....I've got Valentine's goodies
to giveaway!!  Thought it might be kinda fun...
in honor of CHA and all!  Pic tomorrow, and
giveaway on Monday!

I am continuing my "in with the new" trend with
this card (broke the seal on another stamp set,
new twine, and a 6x6 MME):

This is for the Moxie Fab World challenge:
Make an Itty Bitty Card.  It's only 3x3 but
you can have a lot of impact in a small space,
huh?  Thought it was fitting that I use a Unity
"Itty Bitty" stamp set....lol.  Both the flower
stamp (stamped in Scattered Straw Distress
Ink, fussy cut and foam taped) and the sentiment
(stamped in Salty Ocean Distress Ink) are from
the same little set.  Trendy Twine in Lemon Tart,
and Want2Scrap pearls are finishing touches.
MME paper and bazzill base.

And more to come....still have 10 finished Valentine's
to post, and a Valentine's wall hanging too!....stay
tuned, and remember to comment, and be a follower
to win!   And remember you can play with this Moxie
Fab challenge HERE

A Window to the Soul....

I am enjoying my 2013 ride so far....how about you?
I promised myself to dust off my creative mojo and try
new things....and this Lawn Fawn stamp set I bought
at the end of last year is getting itself a work out!

Moxie Fab World is also helping out with their
Creative Card Challenges!  This one, another entry
for the "Make a Card with a Window" challenge:

This is a more clean and simple style....the picture
"frame" is foam taped up to create the window for
the sentiment.  The I *heart* you and polaroid frame
are both from the Lawn Fawn "Say Cheese" set.  They
are stamped using Black Soot Ink, and I colored the
hearts in with a Sakura glaze pen....thus the slightly
shiny embossed look.  The embossed conversation
heart background is a cuttlebug folder.  Black Licorice
Trendy Twine, Want2Scrap red rhinestones, and a
button from my stash are the finishing touches.

Make sure to pop by to check out the challenge HERE.

Take some time to get inky today!

I "Washi" You a Happy Valentine's....

Do you have a crafting product that just sits
there....gathering dust, waiting oh so patiently
to get used?

I was so excited when washi tape came out....
rushed out and got some, then said....now what?

Well along comes this little challenge....from over
at Moxie Fab World.....you can find it HERE....
it's the "Make Your Own Background Paper"
challenge (#49).  And wouldn't you know...it
inspired me to dust off that washi tape and create
this card:

It started as just a plain piece of white cardstock,
and I used Queen & Co washi tape and also
Lawn Fawn stamps to make the background
paper for this card.  I stamped in Black Soot
Distress Ink, colored in the heart with the
Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Markers.
The large heart, I die cut from chipboard,
and wrapped in washi tape.  A button from
my stash, black licorice Trendy Twine, and
Want2Scrap bling finished it off.

So are YOU up for the challenge?  What's in
your stash you haven't used yet?  Leave a
comment and let me know (remember my
giveaway from yesterday!)...then grab it and
get creative!!

I *Heart* Valentine's!

Ahhh....back to crafting after a short break....
ok, only a couple of days, but my son is settled
back at college, and I'm ready to start crafting
for one of my faves....Valentine's Day!

There is something about the color combo of
this holiday....LOVE!

I'll be showing yummy cards and projects for the
next few days....and please make sure to comment...
why?  Because I just may have a little Valentine's
"blog candy love" to give away!  I'll pick a winner
from all the comments left starting today....thru Sunday
(make sure you are following my blog too!) and then on
Monday, look for the winner!  I'll post a pic of the candy
in the next day or two.

Well, now for the fun part.....makin' Valentines!!

I've made a bunch of Valentines using
the Authentique Lovely collection.  I've
embellished it up a bit with Want2Scrap
bling, twine, and chipboard die cuts (these
are from accu-cut)--and I must admit, I was
thinking ahead (for once!) and used the
chipboard piece as a "window" thru to the
background paper...so I could link it up
over at Moxie Fab World's Make a card
with a Window Challenge.  Do you want to
play too?  Pop on over....you can find it HERE.

Stop back tomorrow to see another Valentine...
and these sneaks....are also going to be available
in a kit at Hannah's!!

Remember to leave a comment--and please
follow me if you don't already!  And also, leave
your blog like, if you have one...would love
to stop by and see your lovely work as well!

"up close and personal" view, but here's
a couple close ups of the embellishments:

Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine and it's done!

New Year's Challenge!!

My challenge to you (and to me!) is to
play more!!!  I tend to focus too much
on certain things, and forget to "mix it up".

So today, starting the New Year off right....
I've decided to take a challenge....actually
this is the Play Date Cafe's challenge #162
a color combo WAY out of my comfort zone:

This incorporates the colors of:
GOLD * TEAL * MINT * LAVENDER
Quite a different combo....but then, that's the point!....lol.

And here is my entry:

I finally got the chance to ink up some of my newer
stamps....again....the point of my challenge!!  The
medallion and the dragonfly are from The Rubber Cafe,
both are embossed with Zing embossing powder (gold
and lilac).  The Happy Birthday sentiment from Skipping
Stones Designs and the lacy border stamp next to the teal
seam binding from Just Rite Stampers.  Finishing touches...
the bling (Want 2 Scrap teal and Kaisercraft ice green pearls)
and the teal flower stick pin holding the banner is from LYB.
Cardstock is Core'dnations and the patterned paper is a gold
and mint green print from the Mariposa DCWV stack....using
my stash here!!

So....challenges met....
1. out of my comfort zone color wise
(I'm especially NOT a purple girl!)
2. using new stamps, not just letting them sit unopened.
3. mixing different stamps
4. using my stash
5. entering more challenges in the New Year

So....no resolutions here....just a challenge.....c'mon, join me
in a crafty fun New Year!
