My First SFYTT!!!!

I have decided one of my goals this year....is to play along with the
Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) every month! They have THE
greatest sketches and inspiration! Several gals participate in this,
I go thru Jen del Muro's blog HERE.

This month's sketch was:
And my lil' cupid cutie "My Bunny Valentine"....is the card created. I used my
new Cat's Pajamas stamp set, and did some mix and match on my papers....
Fancy Pants, and Pink Paislee (the dot). I colored my bunny with copics....still
learning here, so please be kind....lol. Distress ink in Fired Brick is the accent
color/sentiment. Used Recollections bling, and tho' it's hard to see....I used my
clear Atyou Spica on the little hearts. The circles were cut with Spellbinders
(classic and scallop circles). The bow is organza ribbon from my stash.

So remember.....if you fly softly and carry a pointy stick....you might just get
the attention you deserve....um, not necessarily good attention....but you'd
certainly turn heads.....just sayn'....lol.

Today is a great day to go and get inky!! Have fun!

Today is a Fun Day....

Yes, it's snowing here in the great Midwest....so that means craft time!
And what a better day to use my brand new "Kraft Fun Day" set from
MME!!! I'm also entering this little cutie into the sketch contest on their
blog....the sketch is the pic above, for Blog Challenge 31 on their site.....
check it out HERE.

As for the entry....

This collection was super easy to work with! Below are some of the up close and
personal details.....

I'm lovin' these papers....the "flower" print has soooo many possibilities! I cut
them out....cut on the lines between the "petals" and then folded them in opposite
directions to make the 3D flowers. I also cut just 2 petals out as seen here below:

To make the hearts in the upper left hand corner (I used the back side).
Here is a detail shot of the flowers and hearts....

The MME stamps are great if you never used them! The MME Lost and Found 2
stamp set is amazing for layering! I used the solid frame in red ink, then the
swirly frame in black in (and cut out) and then layered the word "FRIENDS" on
top of that. The "Adorable/Lovely/Sweet" was stamped, cut out, and layered onto
the starburst stamped in red. Here's a shot of this stamp set:

Oh the possibilities, right? And here's one last look at that finished project....

A fun card....made on a Fun Day....with Fun Day!.....ok, someone stop me before
I hurt myself...lol....yep, I'm getting goofy....cabin fever maybe!....lol.

Time for you to be inspired and go get inky!

Supplies used:
MME Kraft Fun Day Collection 6x6 stack & twine
MME Stella & Rose ribbon
MME Lost & Found 2 stamp set
Distress Ink Black Soot & Fired Brick
Basic Black Cardstock & buttons from stash

Stylin' It

Well, with a bit of ado....couldn't post earlier today....here
is the matching frame to the card I made yesterday!

Just love that Echo Park Style Essentials paper....perfect on
this frame. And it's accented with all sorts of goodies....
bling from Recollections & Me & My Big Ideas, also flowers from
Making Memories, Recollections, and centers from Heidi Swapp,
also Sparklers from Websters Pages. The butterfly is MM as well,
and I spritzed it with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist. I also used
Cutter's Creek brand paper flowers....these things are so pretty!

To prep and finish off the wooden frame (it was raw wood to start)
I painted the edges with "Shopping Bag" MM paint, and I sanded all
the edges (once the paper was adhered) and then inked everything
with Distress Ink in Black Soot. The name was done in Thickers.

Love making gifts for friends and family.....especially when I'm
not sure what to give! Spread some craftin' love today....make
something special for a friend or loved one....hey, with Valentine's
Day coming up, it's the perfect time!

Time to get craftin'!

Clean and Simple

This card is clean and simple....but doncha love that?!

I needed a quick card for a Christening I attended this
weekend....and the Skipping Stones Design (SSD) Sketch this
week SSD #110 was just the thing! I used the Echo Park
Style Essentials collections, and MM paper reverie butterfly
sprayed with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist. A bit of bling, and
a sentiment I printed on my computer, and it was complete.
It got big "kudos" with the matching gift they received!
That will be up tomorrow!

Stop by SSD and play if you get the chance....they have
sketches go up every Tuesday!

Time to go get craftin'!

Believe....

Believe is my word for this year! I have a long list of why's.....but won't
bore you with those!!....lol!! But this card is truly an inspiration for my
mantra this year!

This is also an entry into the Punches Challenge over at Moxie Fab World.
If you haven't checked them out.....pop over and see what's up in their
fabby world!! Lot's of inspiration!! You can find them HERE.

The blending is done with Distress inks to give the butterfly and sentiment
that soft look, but oh so pretty jewel tones. Both are foam taped to give
them dimension.

Remember.....take that crafty time today.....be inspired....

As for this card, what did I use?

Martha Stewart Bangle Punch
AC grosgrain ribbon (doncha love the weaving?!!)
Unity Stamps (SOTM club both the butterfly & sentiment)
Distress Inks (Seedless Preserves, Peeled Paint, Faded Denim, & Black Soot)
Adirondack blending tool and sponges
B &W cardstock & rhinestones are all from Mike's Recollection collection

Hidden Surprises.....

Over the next couple of weeks, I'm going to post some "hidden treasures".

These are projects I had not had a chance to post....yes, they did not make
it onto my blog yet!! They'll be in and among the other projects I post.

This first post is to enter into the RRR Challenge #39....my second entry
and probably more sparkly ribbon goodness than the first!! You can find
their challenges HERE.

This is a wall hanging I made for Hannah's using the BoBunny Snowfall
collection. I must say, I was beyond happy with the results....and it got
me a "Project of the Week" nod over at the Memorable Seasons website
(posted it there, just not on my blog!!).

I made it by painting a bare wood plaque with white acrylic paint,
then cutting around the "frame" piece from BoBunny Snowfall and
after I adhered it, I sanded around the edges of the piece. Next, I
fussy cut the snowflakes out of the paper and layered them with foam
dots for a dimensional effect. The lacy ribbons down the left side, a
couple of stick pins I made and attached the banners to. The saying
"Snowflakes are Kisses from Heaven" was printed on my computer in
blue ink. Distress ink in Vintage photo around the banners, a few
pearls and an organza bow finished it off!

Being that we are supposed to get our first real snowfall of the year
today.....I thought this was a timely post!.....lol!

Remember to enjoy some crafty time today!

Items used:
BoBunny Snowfall collection
Want 2 Scrap Pearls
Lace Ribbon and organza (stash)

Books from K&Co!!

Not one, not two....

But yes....three cards! Heading out to a crop for the next couple of days,
soooo, time is short (when you throw kids dental appointments, math
tutors, and an evening get together in there!....lol). I decided rather than
making all the different posts, I'd just pop them up there today....and bring
home new goodies on Saturday!

I kept them all clean and simple.....because the designs are "kitted" at
Hannah's to sell with these yummy papers and products!

This lil' cupid on this card is a cutie.....

And yes, why, it's more twine! Yes, I love my twine....lol! If you haven't
tried it yet....ya gotta....I'm telling ya....you'll be hooked!!

And the kicker for this entire set (including the card from yesterday)....
all four cards made with ONE sheet of patterned paper from WRMK...
yep....they have a 4-way sheet for cardmakers or I use them for minis too.
That sheet, and the bottle cap pack, and a bit of twine, ink, and plain white
cardstock. LOVE simple sometimes!

Any ideas? Gonna start YOUR Valentines soon? It'll be here before ya
know it....you know I'm right.....c'mon.....better get craftin'!
